Twitter hasn't been "hot" for years and yet I still feel I have lots of meaningful conversations and extract valuable information and knowledge from it. Plus, it's still the tool of choice for protestors and activists. The cool people flocked to Instagram and now TikTok long ago.

The big instance I was in, Fosstodon, had a strict "English-only" moderation policy, and it doesn't work for me. So, rather than migrating to a new one, I set up my own.
