I'm essentially deciding between Sphinx (has nice themes these days, but too complex?), MkDocs (looks simple and has nice themes), Jekyll (Ruby), Ghost (Node,js I believe, seems to generate more excitement these days), or giving up on static site generators altogether.Sun Apr 18 17:41:52 +0000 2021

Context: I have a couple of sites in @getpelican because I'm a Python person (but not a web person). Many plugins are super outdated, I keep seeing the same ugly themes, and doesn't look super maintained (same feelings for @GetNikola and @getlektor). Looking for alternatives.Sun Apr 18 17:41:52 +0000 2021

Hi @jmayer, thanks for chiming in! I know it doesn't sound fair, sorry for that. Let me rephrase: I've seen releases recently, but some plugins seem stalled in the migration, and the themes don't look very polished to my eye. This is great to know! Looking forward to it. To be honest, this thread was prompted because I wanted to integrate Font Awesome on my Pelican site, and I found a couple of plugins, last updated in 2015 and 2016. Neither worked first time, and this frustrated me.Sun Apr 18 18:04:01 +0000 2021
